NFL Power Rankings - Week 2

1. New England Patriots
The Patriots manhandled the Steelers on Sunday night 33-3. Tom Brady had 341 yards and 3 touchdown passes to Josh Gordon and Philip Dorsett. The Patriots are the clear favorites to win it all and just added AB to the mix. The defense held the Steelers to 308 total yards and only 3 points. This is the scariest Patriots team we have seen in awhile.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs came out where they left off last year. Mahomes picked apart the Jags defense putting up 491 total yards. The Tyreek Hill injury hurts, but Sammy Watkins torched the secondary with 198 yards and 3 TDs. This is such a fun team to watch.

3. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams got a nice win in Carolina while gaining 166 yards on the ground. Jared Goff looked inaccurate and only threw for
186 yards and defense forced 3 turnovers and sacked Cam 3 times.

4. New Orleans Saints
Hard to top the first of the Monday night double header with Saints vs Texans. The game was spectacular, and Brees with 37 seconds left drove down the field and Wil Lutz kicked a 58 yard game winner. Alvin Kamara is a freak.

5. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were stuck in the preseason for first half against the Redskins. The secondary was getting torched and the offense needed some time to be in sink. In his return to Philly,
Desean Jackson was spectacular with 154 yds and 2 touchdowns. Carson Wentz is so talented and when there isn't pressure on him he will eat you alive.

6. Baltimore Ravens
How about Lamar Jackson!? He picked apart the lowly Miami Dolphins throwing 5 touchdowns on 17 completions. Rookie Hollywood Brown had himself a debut with 147 yards and 2 TDs on 4 catches.
The Ravens are fun, next weeks showdown with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals should be entertaining.

    7. Dallas Cowboys
What a offensive start for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott seemed to fit nicely in Kellen Moore's system and it showed.
Jason Witten, Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb and Zeke Elliot all had touchdowns on Sunday.

    8. Los Angeles Chargers

Austin Ekeler scored 3 touchdowns, 2 rushing and 1 receiving as the Chargers squeak out a nail biter win against the Colts.
The Chargers seem pretty confident in their third year undrafted running back over paying Melvin Gordon.

      9. Houston Texans
Tough loss for Houston, who were 37 seconds away from victory after a insane 2 pass drive to take the lead. The Deshaun Watson to Deandre Hopkins connection is something special that will see alot this year. Watson needs to limit
the hits he takes or he is going to get injured. JJ Watt had 0 sacks and hits on Monday night, which was surprising.

      10. Tennessee Titans
What a beat down the Titans put on the Browns. The Titans sacked Baker Mayfield 5 times which 2.5 came from old man Cameron Wake. Derrick Henry looks like a lineman out there and cannot
be stopped. The Titans impressed the hell out of me, lets see what they do against the Colts next Sunday.

      11. Green Bay Packers

The Thursday night opener between the Bears and Packers was ugly but awesome at the same time. Both defenses came to play and the Packers impressed me with their new additions
in Preston Smith and Za'Darius Smith. The Bears offense was thrown off all night.

      12. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks barely got by the Bengals but only allowed 34 rushing yards and the addition of Clowney will be huge. Rookie D.K Metcalf was the leading receiver with 89 yards in his debut.

      13. Minnesota Vikings

How about this stat line, Kirk Cousins had 8 completions for 98 yards and 1 touchdown. Dalvin Coook had 111 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns.
The Defense forced 3 turnovers and the Vikings dominated the Falcons at home. Impressive.

      14. Chicago Bears

I'm not throwing in the towel on the Bears after 1 week. The defense can FLY and we saw that Thursday night especially early. They held Aaron Rodgers to one touchdown but failed to score one of
their own. Mitch Trubisky needs to bounce back in order for this team to contend.

      15. Cleveland Browns
Rough opening day for Mayfield who threw 3 interceptions. This team has a chance to bounce back on Monday Night Football against the Jets. Myles Garrett had 2 sacks and will be hard to stop all season.

      16. Pittsburgh Steelers

Nothing went the Steelers way on Sunday. The Patriots outplayed them on all phases, but I think that's more of a testament of
how good the Patriots are. The Steelers have another big test next week as they battle the Seahawks at home. The offense needs to show up.

      17. Carolina Panthers

Christian McCaffrey is off to a stellar start to the season rushing for 128 yards and 81 yards receiving. Carolina had 2 crucial fumbles, one inside their own 10 yard line on a
backward pass and one inside the Rams 30 yard line. DJ Moore needs to take better care of the ball.

      18. Buffalo Bills

Great comeback win for the Bills, who scored 17 unanswered in the 2nd half to beat the Jets. Their rookie 3rd round pick Devin
Singletary rushed 4 times for 70 yards.

      19. New York Jets

Tough loss for the Jets, who had 4 turnovers in the first half and still lost. Sam Darnold was getting pressured all game.

      20. San Francisco 49ers

Sloppy game, but a win for the 49ers. Rookie Nick Bosa had a sack, 3 quarterback hits, 3 tackles, and six quarterback pressures.

      21. Atlanta Falcons

Rough game for Atlanta, who could not get it going offensively. Atlanta arguably has the most talented offensive roster on paper. They have another big test with the Eagles next Sunday night.

      22. Oakland Raiders

The Raiders put the AB drama behind them and came out and pushed around the Broncos. The offensive line did not allow a sack against Brandon Chubb and Von Miller. Rookie Josh Jacobs ran for 85 yards and 2 tds.

      23. Indianapolis Colts

Marlon Mack put up huge numbers and the offensive line had themselves a game. The Colts with be fine with Jacoby Brissett, it should be a good matchup with the Titans.

      24. Jacksonville Jaguars

Nick Foles going down really hurts the Jags. They are going to roll with the rookie Gardner Minshew from now on until Foles comes back around mid season. Their defense will recover after a tough outing against the Chiefs.

      25. Denver Broncos

Denver had a disappointing opening night, getting steamrolled by the Raiders. The Denver defense did not have 1 sack against a talented offensive line in Oakland. Joe Flacco was getting pressured all game, not a good start to Vic Fangio's head coaching career.

      26. Washington Redskins

The Redskins defense was a huge disappointment considering the talent they have. The defensive line could not get pressure on Wentz in the second half. Ryan Kerrigan and Rookie Montez Sweat were invisible all game. The passing game was off to a good start and hopefully continue that trend against Dallas next week.

      27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sloppy start to the Bruce Arians era in Tampa. Jameis Winston threw 3 interceptions including a brutal pick six to ice the game. Bucs get a short week as they face the Panthers on Thursday night football.

      28. Detroit Lions

Detroit allowed an 18 point 4th quarter after a great performance by Matt Stafford. TJ Hockenson had a great performance in his first game both in the run game and the pass game.

      29. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals had brutal three quarters to this game but Kyler Murray came alive in the 4th and OT. This kid is going to be exciting and next weeks match up with the Ravens should be fun.

      30. Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton had his best day as an NFL QB, throwing for 418 yards and 2 touchdowns and connecting with John Ross on both scores.

      31. New York Giants

Dallas had a field day against the Giants secondary. There are some positives offensively the Giants can take away from this game. There is a very
clear gap between 2 NFC east teams vs the other.

      32. Miami Dolphins

Rough start to Josh Rosen's career as his first 2 teams are in straight disaster mode. The Dolphins are going to keep rolling with Ryan Fitzpatrick until things are completely south. In my opinion, Rosen should play ASAP.

NFL Power Rankings - Week 1

      1. New England Patriots Hard to dethrone the super bowl champs from the #1 spot to start the season. The Patriots have one of the most underrated defenses in the league along with a hall of fame coach and QB. They also have some favorable weapons in Josh Gordon, Julian Edelmen, and Sony Michel. Just a reminder that Gordon is only 28..lets hope he stays out of trouble. 2. Kansas City Chiefs No suspension for Tyreek Hill guarantees an explosive offense for 2019. The defense lost Dee Ford and Justin Houston but added Frank Clark in a trade from Seattle 3. Los Angeles Rams Sean Mcvay is the next bright head coach in the NFL. He will scheme the offense up to be a dominant force in the NFC. Aaron Donald is arguably the best player in the NFL but they still gave up alot of points in 2018. E xpect a big year for Cooper Kupp.  4. New Orleans Saints The Saints will be right back where they were last year. After an off season of complaining about the missed call in the NFC Champ
